This shot of a juvenile female Wood Duck was taken at Franklin Canyon Park in Beverly Hills. It was early July, the pond is pretty much quite except for school kids cruising by with Wildlife Management personnel to give talks concerning the flora and fauna.

I really liked the lines and reflection in the water. It was very calm and this "woody" seemed content with its surroundings.
