I took this shot at Bolsa Chica State Park, Near Huntington Beach, CA. I was about 75 yards away. I used a Canon 40D with 70x200 mm Canon lens which had a 1.4 extender. I call this photo the The Sentinel. He was absolutely on the lookout since it was mating season. This photo merited in the 2010 Santa Clarita Valley Photography Organization Open competition for 2010.
