Spotted Towhee- Sepulveda Basin reservoir- Los Angeles, This little fellow was a gift. It was not in my sights or intent. I was focused on waterfowl. I was thinking about the towhee because I knew they were around. I happened to look up and to my right and there he was on a tree branch just looking to see what I was up to. Towhee's like to scratch around in the underbrush and leaves to find bugs and seeds. I used my 500mm since I already had it out focused on the water. The Gimbel head made it easy to swing around.
