"Letting Go" is the perfect title for this photo. I watch these seeds struggle to hang on. The wind was blowing and Globe Thistle would be bending to the right in the strong breeze. Sometimes the seeds would droop down and when the wind would blow they would be horizontal. Finally, the last seed to the right broke loose and settled nearby on another plant. It bounce along from plant to plant until it finally landed on the ground. The other seed hung on and never left the main plant while I was watching.

This photo was taken in Carlsbad, CA during the flowering season in April or May.
