This is a genus of Orb Weaver.  It makes a spectacular web at times.  Only 50% of 43,000 known spicers make webs, according to the Wall Street Journal,  8/11/2012, pg C12.
White Tail Kite with fresh kill.  Malibu Legacy Park, CA
"Catch me if you Can" was a gift.  This beautiful hawk landed in a tree about 30-40 feet away from me.  This photo was taken at Legacy Park in Malibu, CA. Legacy Park is across the street from Malibu Lagoon.
"Peek A Boo" Los Angeles Zoo. This rascal would not come out of his hiding place.  This is the best shot I could get.
"Tough day in Flower Land"  Food chain system in operation.  The big eat the small.  When I shot this horsefly in Costa Mesa, I did not see the honey bee until I got home and put the file on the computer.
Trump National Golf Course tide pools in Palas Verdas, CA.  Lots of critters here.  Best time to shoot is when it is overcast and low tide. Shoot with a polerizer. it will make your life easier.
