Bobcats weigh in at about 25 lbs. They have been known to take down a deer. What they do is jump on the deer, swing down to its neck and clamp down on the throat and windpipe. Naturally, the deer is running and expending huge amounts of energy. Bobcats have been know to just hold on to the deer until it runs itself into exhaustion and then the cat will finish it off. Although they look cute don't turn your back on one even for a second. Never ever let one get behind you. Infact, you should never be close enough to one to allow it to be behind you unless it is caged.
